This project involved the demolition of the rooms at the rear of the existing house and construction of a double-storey extension. Great care was taken to ensure the contemporary elements of the extension were integrated into the existing heritage features of the home.

The 3 bedrooms were retained and preserved, with the remaining backrooms reconfigured and extended to include a sitting room, bathroom, laundry, meals, kitchen and bedrooms, accommodating higher ceiling heights downstairs.

Architecturally designed by Fine Line Building Designers, this home showcases an open plan living which offers separate formal area, blending in with the stand out element in the design of a central staircase.

Internally, Victorian Ash timber floors were laid throughout the living areas, with nylon twist carpet to the bedrooms. The clients chose a white colour palette for all the cupboards, tiles and caesarstone benchtops, helping to give the interior a bright and spacious feel.
